Peace Counts on Tour

More Europe and its partners examine external cultural relations best practices.

Peace Counts on Tour – funded by the Institute for Foreign Cultural Relations (Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen – ifa) – is a project promoted by the Berghof Foundation/Institute for Peace Education Tuebingen.

Reporters from the Peace Counts Network went into 30 conflict zones to take a closer look at the work of successful peacebuilders. In co-operation with well-known researchers in the field of peace and conflict studies, NGOs, and state institutions, Peace Counts selects projects from around the world that serve as successful examples of crisis prevention, non-violent conflict resolution and peacebuilding.

Peace Counts on Tour is bringing these stories then back to the conflict zones. A photo exhibit shows a best-of selection. The Berghof Foundation/Peace Education has developed accompanying workshops which offer teachers, journalists, politicians and mediators a deeper understanding of motivations and methods of these peacebuilders (Training of Trainers, ToT).
