Gérald Grunberg

Representative of the International Relations, French National Public Library

After being Director of the public libraries of Argenteuil and Montreuil, Gérald Grunberg was appointed Head of the Public Libraries Department at the Ministry of Culture in 1985. He was then Assistant to the Scientific Authority of the French National Public Library and Director of the Audiovisual Department. He left the National Public Library for seven years to serve as Director of the Public Information Library of the Centre Pompidou, and then as Regional Director of Cultural Affairs in Basse-Normandie.
Since 2008, Gérald Grunberg has been the Representative for International Relations of the French National Public Library. In addition, he was the Scientific and Technical Advisor to the Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (Egypt) from 1997 to 2001.
