Goran Tomka is a graduate teaching assistant of cultural tourism related subjects at the Faculty of Sport and Tourism in Novi Sad, Serbia. He is currently a doctoral student at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade. He holds his master’s degree in Cultural policy and management from the University of Arts in Belgrade, Serbia and University Lyon 2 from Lyon, France. His master thesis investigated prospects for crowdsourcing and crowdfunding practices for art institutions in Serbia. His research interests include participatory culture and art, new media, cultural tourism and cultural policy.

He has published his papers in several leading national peer-reviewed journals and international publications (Cultural Component of Citizenship, Access to Culture platform, Brussels) and presented his work at academic conferences. He is currently a researcher in a EU commissioned regional research project in cultural policy and intercultural dialogue.
